Hi! My name is Rebecca Canale. I live in south central PA with my husband, Chris. We have two grown daughters and a son-in-law. I am a licensing artist that partners with the wonderful Donna Westman of DSW Licensing.

A little about me … I enjoy working with my hands. From learning how to sew as a young girl, to creating silk floral wreaths, to drawing, painting, and designing greeting cards. Art supplies are always abundant in our home! Designing projects for our girls and their friends at Bible study gatherings brought life to what they were learning.

As our children grew, I went back to school and received an associate’s degree in graphic design. Now as a licensing artist, I take my watercolor art and scan it into Adobe photoshop. Each watercolor motif is incorporated into various designs and patterns suitable for many home décor products -- including fabric, bed sheets, pillows, ceramic plates and mugs, garden flags, greeting cards, among others. I find my inspiration from nature, where there is so much to take in, from the smallest of details to the expansive beauty of colors and light!

I collaborated with Studio E and created the Christmas Village collection. Inspiration for the project came from growing up in southern New England. The pond behind our home is where I learned to ice skate, and I have great memories sledding with friends in my neighborhood.

The main panel of the Christmas Village is filled with cheerful community activities you’d find in northern winter climates, such as ice skating, building snowmen, snowball fights, sleigh riding, sledding, Christmas tree cutting, caroling and gift shopping. The fabric collection makes for joyful, nostalgic Christmas products.

I love Scripture and encouraging words. Combining hand lettering with watercolor art gives me so much joy -- especially when I share it with others. What brings you joy?
