SIY – Sew It Yourself™ is a Jaftex Corporation initiative that aims to inspire, motivate, and educate to grow sewing confidence. Over the last two years, we've been providing a vibrant community of support for sewists of all skill levels, especially beginners, by offering free, fun, easy-to-make projects, tips and tricks, and encouraging dialogue using #SIYSewItYourself online (follow us @siysewityourself).

Now, SIY has gone to the next level with the introduction of the new SIY Hub – a creative circle of makers. It’s an online community built for makers like you. Think Facebook, but without the distraction of ads!

SEW, are you ready to…

Whatever your sewing style, you’ll find a home in the Hub. Simply browse the “News Feed” page or explore up to 10 interest “Groups” full of like-minded makers who share your passion. Hello, newbies out there! Get tips and ask ALL the questions in the Hub.

2. Get inspiration, support, and encouragement

With access to tons of free projects, tutorials, tips & tricks, and an “Events” page, you’ll never be short on inspiration in the Hub. ‘Like’ and comment to show your love of makes and ideas shared by others and share your own makes, ideas, and questions, too!

3. Connect with like-minded makers

Connect directly with members who share your interests or location by applying filters on the “Members” page. Connect, follow, and send a direct message to start new friendships.

4. Learn and grow

If you’re new to sewing or want to grow your skills, search for an “intermediate/advanced sewist” who may love to be your new mentor! Or simply ask questions in the Great Question group and create topic discussions within any group.
