Hello, Hello I’m Ama of thevibrantpixel!
I’ve probably been sewing for most of my life although more seriously in the last 5 years. I started with quilts during the pandemic. Then, I began sewing garments and fully fell in love with sewing. When I was younger, I thought I could hand sew clothes and homeware for my barbies. These items weren’t very successful but they did pass the time. I am a crafter at heart, though. I have multiple fibre hobbies as well as sewing. I really got back into crafting with knitting!
I love pulling inspiration from anywhere and everywhere. My favourite thing is colour and every project is a new way to play with colour. It is the perfect way to add a little joy to your day by looking or even working on a project that has some of your favourite colour in it. My favourite thing to say is that neons are a neutral especially neon yellow/green.
My favourite type of project is really difficult to decide. However, I think the best project is one where you get to learn a new skill! Even learning a new way to do a technique I’ve tried before is fun. It is one of the reasons why I love sewing. From quilting to garment sewing there is not a technique/skill I wouldn’t try at least once.
